Update: This seems to be a problem when trying to turn a Valve into Advanced Pressure Tube. About to test with compressed iron to see if it crashes aswell

Weird. This is how I assembled mine with no crash. Dig 5x5x6 pit. Place a layer of cobble under where the witch water will go. Place Witch Water in 2 corners. Break Cobble and Place roof over pit.

And now on to my actual reason for posting...

Problem with Pressure Chamber not reporting correct pressure when using PC Interface. Kinetic Compressor to pipe to Chamber. From 0 pressure, while items input chamber pressure fluctuates between 0 and something less than 1. Attempting to import a stack each of creeper seeds and compressed iron causes pipe to blow.

Edit: 3rd attempt worked...strange.

It was unrelated. The forums just merged my posts.

Recovered my world via MC edit, but Im unable to complete the last PneuCr quest("Under More Pressure") b/c I can't use a valve to make the advanced pressure tube without crashing and currupting world

cause if you're going to take such an easy way, might as well just cheat the ghast tears in.
This coming from the guy who disabled diminishing returns on food :p

as for the rest of your post, didn't know HQM was so poorly designed, besides a lack of polish ingame (no rebindable hotkeys, etc) it seems to work just fine.
How is HQM poorly designed? Almost all mods make decisions based on item/block IDs. It's Minecraft that is poorly designed that forced the mods to follow suit. Minecraft eased up on the bad design a little bit, so mod authors can now actually use item names ;)

it looks like that pair of creeper and skeleton are dancing in it to spite you.
That is actually liquid meat surrounding pools of glue. To tell the truth I was tossing all kinds of florbs around trying to find something I would generally consider worth making/carrying.

Water is scarce in this map. Thus, if 2 source blocks will do then job, then use 2...not 25. This is easily do-able early game as a source of not only Ghast drops, but Mob Essence. And it's a self-sustaining system [@PODonnell for this] with no problem of creeper-seed explosions. I'm sure your suggestion to use 25 source blocks would turn off inexperienced players to this idea.

Not sure how I got brought into this issue? A rare argument I figured I'd abstain from..

When I try to open crash landing , I get an error in the console (something with 64 bit server ... ) and then ftb laucher exits and nothing happens , I mention that all other packs are working for me ( I can't see what error I get in the console because it closes afet 1 milisecond after I open the pack ) . Thanks for helping !

There should be a crash log in your FTB folder. I believe it's under FTB\CrashLanding\minecraft\ForgeModLoader-client-0.log or something like that. Try finding that and posting the contents on pastebin, then post the pastebin link here.

i'm willing to wait as long as it takes, and i'm sure the few others wanting the upgrade are as well. as for the rest of your post, didn't know HQM was so poorly designed, besides a lack of polish ingame (no rebindable hotkeys, etc) it seems to work just fine. like i said, the legwork is all finished, all it takes is copying existing configs over, and converting from old to new with the few that would need it. it's not like you are starting from the beginning and having to decide things like 'should this block heat up, cool off, or nothing?'

HQM isn't poorly designed. It is just that every last bit of the items it references for EVERYTHING from tasks to rewards will be changed from 1.6.4 to 1.7.10 since item IDs are now gone. This is true of every mod, it just impacts HQM harder than most. I'm not exactly sure how HQM will react to suddenly losing all of that info. It is entirely possible that quests written in 1.6.4 won't be compatible in 1.7.10, and even if if they are compatible, well, I won't have any idea what the tasks and rewards were without going back and forth with a 1.6.4 version of CL.

Sigh, I appreciate that you think this isn't a big deal, but you are very, very, VERY wrong. If all the mods that I use now also exist in 1.7.10, and if those mods didn't also have major changes, yeah, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. But
that isn't true. That means that this can't be, won't be, a straight up port. Add in that I will be taking the opportunity to evaluate new mods for inclusion and re-evaluating old mods for possible removal, not a lot of what I did in 1.6.4 will apply to 1.7.10. Please note how finely Crash Landing is balanced. With a ground up overhaul of the included mods, with all the new and changed mechanics, items, blocks, and machines 1.7.10 Crash Landing will be very, very different than it is currently. I won't be starting over completely from scratch, because I now know what I am trying to achieve, but slotting all the pieces back into place will be a huge undertaking.

Just as an idea, compare AE with AE2. And then realize I then have to include, and balance for, all the changes. Every quest that referenced or used AE stuff will have to be changed to fit AE2, all the Minetweaker scripts for AE will have to be changed, I will have to figure out what recipe changes I need to make, what world gen stuff won't be available so I can make quests for it. And then I will have to balance all of that. And that is just 1 mod.

Think a bit next time, eh? I get kind of grumpy when people make blind assumptions without putting a bit of thought into it.

In case you start redoing HQM I suggest to put a bit more thoughts in reward balancing. Many of them have an item which is FAR more valuable than the others. For example: 2 leadstone thruster (tons of resources and 2 upgraded pcb) vs hardened energy cell(just 4 invar), ingot casting vs pickaxe head casting (who even needs pickaxe when its dust everywhere and your best bet would be shovel?), 2 tesseract frames vs 8 illuminator frames... I dont even.

IMHO, it would be a mistake to port CL to 1.7.10 at this stage. Or indeed to port CL v1 to 1.7.10 at all.

As well as all that grief (and I think you've only touched the surface of the balancing issues), you would be working with alpha- and beta- quality mods, and I think you are seriously underestimating the trouble the bugs in 1.7.10 mods would cause you!

And on top of that, if you want a bug fix from one of these mods, you get all the new features along with it. New features which in a lot of cases would mean re-evaluation and re-balancing of the pack.

The great advantage 1.6.4 has at present is that the mods are all mature and stable, and reasonably bug free. You of course are hitting a few edge-case bugs because you are pushing both MC and the mods beyond their intended use cases. But the pack is amazingly well balanced and stable despite this.

Anyway,
KeepOnDigging!

Man this modpack would be so much more awesome without that idiotic pheumatic craft, those seeds are annoying as all hell to farm cos they pop up from the ground ALL the time,
on a field of 6x5 i have to spam them and hope 6 of them stick and grow, the chamber eats 5/5/5 of the required items and (with plenty of pressure) it pops out 3 out of 5, eats 1 of the 3 materials completely, 2nd gives me 1 back, 3rd gives me 2 back. And this crap happens all the time too. On top of that, the machines look very... basic.. too. I don't mind a challenge to make the machine frames more rare but this mod is wanted me to throw this modpack in the bin.

Fun fact: because lavastone is a semitransparent block, fires can't start on it, making it perfect for surrounding your pyrotheum with.
